Wyndham Clark was declared the winner of the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Sunday night.
His third-round 60 set the Pebble Beach Golf Links course record then he and the rest of the 80-man field found out Sunday that the final round was being pushed to Monday due to inclement weather, namely rain and strong winds.
Hours later, though, the PGA Tour called it, handing Clark his third win and first since the 2023 U.S. Open last June. He now has two of his three PGA Tour wins in the state of California.
The PGA Tour made this announcement Sunday night at 7:14 p.m. local time (10:14 p.m. ET):
"The storm affecting the Monterey Peninsula throughout the day Sunday is forecast to continue into the early hours of Monday with very strong winds. Although conditions are forecast to improve through the morning Monday, after consultation with Monterey County emergency authorities, who have implemented a Shelter in Place order until early tomorrow morning for the greater Pebble Beach community, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of all constituents, there will be no play on Monday. Therefore, in accordance with the PGA Tour Regulations the tournament results will be final through the conclusion of 54 holes."
Clark is the first 54-hole winner of the tournament since Dustin Johnson in 2009.
“Our regulations say we need to make every effort to play 72 holes, which includes playing on Monday,” PGA Tour chief referee Gary Young said after Saturday’s round.
But it simply wasn't meant to be. Clark picked up $3.6 million for winning the $20 million signature event. He is in the field at the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale, which starts Thursday.
